  • my fortune cookie


    Gosh has a week past by already!Nooo my  free days are coming to an end,and rather fast too.
    Nothing out of the ordinary this week except for emmy's fab bday bash yest night ( more on this in the next update!) My week consisted of just more meetups,reading, shopping and  a few corporate talks at the firm.

     The firm's Annual Dinner & Dance was last week and though I didnt attend it,I thought the invite was really pretty!



    The theme for the ADND 2009 was The Orient Express: Destination- Shanghai and the invite came in this little oriental box with a formal invite,a 'ticket' to shanghai and a fortune cookie!I thought it was just so creative and pretty.Kudos to the organising committee!

  • a whirlwind of sorts



    And its the weekend!
    Well everyday is like a weekend to me so its been nice.

    The past week has been fun. Its a complete luxury to have all the time at hand to do all the things you want to do.
    Lots of meet ups here and there,shopping,reading and relaxing at home.

    On friday  I met up with  a bunch of friends from SAM.Aside from priscilla dearest,i havent met the rest in ages so it was a very nice catchup session.

    At night I watched another musical with my family and this time,at Istana Budaya.We watched Cuci and let me just say, it was SO HILARIOUS!The crowd went insane with laughter and i laughed so much till my tummy hurt.The musical lasted about 3 hours and all I did was laugh laugh and laugh. It was that funny,trust me!Everyone had a really good time.Lotsa really funny lines and jokes and man can everyone really sing.It was quite a coincidence too that one of the backup cast is actually a girl we know from church and I was so surprised to see her dance and hear her sing!That voice of hers,seriously,amazing.

  • weekend getaway @ pd



    Hello!Im back from pd,slightly burnt but feeling very healthy.I still feel slightly flushed from the trip and i think it would take some time for it to hopefully dissapear. I dont know why i am associating feeling flushed with feeling healthy but anyway, it was a nice trip. (This icon with the flushed cheeks seem to illustrate me very clearly lol!)

    It was really hot in pd and smart me,left the most essential thing to bring when you head to the beach; sunblock!

    On the way to pd, we stopped by for some really good banana leaf rice at Curry Leaf Restaurant, Seremban.The place is pretty popular and everyone says its a must try.Anyone going past Seremban really should try this place out. I love their banana leaf,much nicer than the ones ive tried around here. The curries were really tasty and very spicy,just the way i like it!

    and i had it with chicken,mutton and fish,all of which is not in the picture because we couldnt wait any longer to dig in!wouldnt mind another serving of it right now,so good!

    we stayed at legend water chalets this time round.we usually stay at avillion and though legend is only 2 years old, i think avillion has slightly nicer chalets. i still remember their  gorgeous 4 poster beds!

  • fendi sale!

    Because im still feeling exhilarated from yesterday's shopping experience,today's post ( much to the dismay of the guys), will be all about it!

    Yesterday I had a really fun day out and about kl.Mum and I visited the fendi family sale at Marriott and it was excellent!Loads of good bargains and I highly recommend everyone to attend it if you have the time.

    We went crazy looking at all the gorgeous shoes,bags and apparel that were all heavily discounted!The original price for most of the shoes were in the thousand range but at the sale,they were going for about rm200-rm500!And the bags were really nice,all 50-70% off ahhhh!!It was like heaven on earth for everyone in the room.Everyone looked so focused and it was quite crazy finding size 5 shoes but we manage to snag up a few pairs.If you are attending the sale,make sure you bring a friend along for support and to be your extra pair of eyes! Met Deborah Priya there too among others,shes so pretty and amazingly tall.

    those of the opposite sex dont seem to understand how hard it is to find a pair of size 5 shoes, let alone 4 during a sale but let me just say,its almost as hard as winning the lottery!



    my favourite purchase!the heel goes on forever but i'll manage somehow!



    mum spotted this the moment we stepped in!the kitten heels are in gold and really pretty!



    couldnt decide on blue or black so we took both!
    It was lots of fun shopping and we had lots of really funny experiences.I'll just share one in case i'll bore everyone out lol!The pink bag that you see in the picture above?We initially got the yellow one.We were really rooting for the pink one but it was already taken by  another lady as you can see in the 2nd pic.The pale yellow was nice too bt the pink was so much prettier!It came in white/beige/pink/yellow/blue.We didnt really like the others and  were deciding between the yellow and the pink but we were a minute or two slow so it was the yellow. To cut the long story short,we paid for the yellow and were about to leave when the really sweet lady decided she would take the blue and give us the pink!!You should have seen the expression on our faces!!!I highly doubt she would be reading this but if you are,thanks so much once again!Some ppl are just so sweet right?

    After all the shopping,we had a very nice lunch at Shanghai in Marriott.



    our half eaten meal.we had yummy xiu long pao,sea cucumber soup,fried yamcake,chicken pie biscuits,drunken chicken,mai lou kou, a few other thingsand all washed down by their really nice flower tea.The best dimsum ive had for awhile!

    On the 28th I had an equally fun day. Met dear pris for lunch and it was such a nice catchup session. I dont think ive had such a deep heart to heart conversation for a long time.Thanks babe,I love you!Safe trip back to Msia and later on to Aus!xx

    At night I went for the premier screening of Micheal Jackson's ' This Is It' at klcc.



    It was okay i suppose. I feel bad saying its boring when i've been reading in the papers  how good it was.Maybe i was quite sleepy hmm.But it earned $2.2 million on its first night so kudos!
    I'll be off to pd for a short weekend getaway so have a good weekend everyone and I'll update once im back!

  • its not called retail therapy for nothing

    So these few days have been crazy,annoying,upsetting and tiring for more reasons than I can say.And my pocket has certainly been experiencing the wrath more than anything else.Hmm -_-When things like these happen, you either move on with life or just crumble down, mourn in self-pity and pray for better days.Ive been doing the latter far too often in the past that I think its really  enough. The next annoying thing is that i've been down with a rather annoying eye allergy since friday argh!My right eye is red,swollen,itchy and constantly tearing which is not very pleasant i tell you.Its so irritating! And also on a less irritating note,work has been deferred for a month!!Pros and cons definitely with the pro being that I suddenly have a vast amount of time to work on my paper after working on it like mad fr the past weeks and the cons being suddenly afraid of all the empty days ahead!But im sure they will be filled very soon,knowing the v. demanding ppl surrounding me haha!

    And i need a hugee favour to ask from everyone and anyone reading this.I'll be heading over to Scotland with my parents for about 2 weeks in december and right now we are trying to plan itbut I dont even know where to start or which places are the must visit etcetc!We'll be most prob driving around in Scotland so we are trying to work out a route and how many days to allocate for each city.So if anyone out there has some useful info/tips to share,please do & i'll love u forever!

  • a peek into my handbag!

    Everyone says you can tell a lot  about a woman by the contents of her handbag.
    And i think there is really some truth in that.

    Ive been putting this off for god knows long and now i think, im really running dry on excuses (sorry babes!). First it was the  busy with studying for first year,then second year,then third year law,then bvc year,then interviews and now if i say busy with llm,i'll probably get pelted with eggs very soon so i think i should get this done before i start work.
    (work cough*good excuse.must keep for future reference cough haha!kidding!)

    So i emptied out my handbag today and here is how everything looked like.



    ppl always say i carry wayyy too much in my bag but hello i beg to differ.i think girls in general carry lotsa of stuff around right?i mean its so normal!we just have to be ready for every type of situation that might pop up!

    So in my handbag i carry
    1. my longtime fav damier canvas purse-its turning a really sickly shade of yellow and getting really dirty around the edges.shoots!
    2. blackberry-i.cannot.leave.home.without.it!
    3. shades-though i more than often find myself leaving them in my car and so,im always squinting when im in someone else's car.not a smart move i know.
    4. carkeys-when i do drive
    5. a book-i always have a book with me,just one of those oldtime habits i think.right now im rereading Little Women by Louisa May Alcot.classic
    6. a pen-dont know why.its not like ppl would come up and ask for my autograph on the streets of pj pfft.but i guess i hate the feeling when i need one and i dont have one and i recall the 463282 pens on my studytable.
    7. water-i so drink more than 8 cups of water a day so i really dont understand why im always falling sick.
    8. scrunchie and hairclips-for days when i just want to get my hair/fringe out of my way!
    9.  CD makeup pouch!the most important thing in my handbag!inside it i carry around a few of my favs whilst the rest are left in my big case at home.the ones i usually lug around are

    • Bobbi Brown foundation stick
    • Benefit's boi-ing concealer
    • Dior bronze sun couture palette
    • Nars orgasm blush-my saviour on  ugly days!!

    • Mac softsparkle eye pencil in Nightsky-my all time fav eyeliner.its fab!
    • Shiseido eyeliner pencil in  turquoise blue
    • Dior addict highshine in #680 catwalk mauve
    • My Anna Sui mirror-ok i admit that i only got it bcs its so pretty!

    • Clinique  handcream-its very,very,very important to keep your hands properly moisturised!
    • Mini tube of clinique moisture surge thirst relief-what with all the aircon we use,this just does wonders!
    • Comb-a necessity when you have long annoying hair
    • This will probably be the most unglam part of everything but i absolutely must carry around my cough dettol hand sanitizer and my minyak capkapak! and i can explain!!sanitizers are so necessary these days and everyone has to practice good hygiene right?as for the ointment lol,its so aunty  and i dont knw what on earth is wrong with me but i get really dizzy sometimes and the smells just helps everything!im sure everyone uses it..right?its like wonder water or something.

    And thats about it!Dont think i missed anything out.All i have to say is its tough being a girl!xx

  • i have a date with spring



    Saturday night i accompanied mum to sp setia's corporate night at klpac. We watched ' i have a date with spring-the musical'. And it was really really good. No doubt everything was in Cantonese and that most of the songs were either in cantonese/mandarin but we thoroughly enjoyed it!Thank goodness for eng surtitles!The storyline is so beautiful and the songs even more. I cant believe i didnt watch the series before ( thanks for letting me knw aretha!). Was teary eyed throughout the musical and sigh it was just beautiful but very sad at the same time.

    I think everyone should go and catch it at klpac.Its really good and trust me,you'll be humming the songs till a few days after! They have performances till the 1st of Nov. More info here!

    My biggest biggest regret was not purchasing the cd that night but found out today that mum managed to get her friend to get it for us so yay for that!

  • realise


    I think there comes a point in life,when you realise suddenly that after all the effort you've put in and the struggles you've been through, you just...dont feel up to it anymore.And its so ironic.

    Anyway I feel so outdated since coming back to msia and seeing & hearing of all the new restaurants in pj,kl and everywhere.Been eating at garden,1u like crazy fr the past week for some weird reason.The food is pretty decent but i think the environment is the selling point.Its just nice sitting amidst all the flowers.And white roses at that.I love white roses!








    we simply had to take a shot of the piano!guess why?

    Then ive been all around the past week doing everything.Mark's scholarship ceremony was last weekend and that was fun.And last night i had yummy korean at daorae over in hartamas with honwai,ongko and jason.No pictures of food because i was s.t.a.r.v.i.n.g  and i stuffed everything in as soon as they arrived.Been craving for hotpot for like foreverrr and finally i had it yesterday woowee!




    My boxes finally arrived a few days ago,thank heavens!I was starting to worry and most importantly,half of my work clothes were in it so yay yay yay its back home now. Now im just going slightly crazy sorting out all my clothes,books,bags and shoes.Crazy stuff. Got new bookshelves all ready fr my books,new drawers for some my clothes and a new shoerack fr my shoes!Now all i need is my cupboard frm ikea.Like seriously i need it asap!Im running out of space to hang.

    Its been nice meeting up with everyone over the past few weeks.Pris babe,cant wait to meet up with you and princess priss,i miss you lots and it was good talking to you today.Cheer up and i hope everything gets sorted out soon.Mwah.xx
