  • Call to the Bar!


    Hello everyone!Finally a moment to spare.Been really caught up with all the hype at work what it being my first week. Then we spent this weekend at Sunway Resort & Spa and now finally,im home!

    Been trying to sort out my pictures from uk but its been taking me just about forever.We've got so many and i've finally managed to transfer them from all cameras and phones.Will post them in order or priority and first up is of course,call day pictures!

    My call day was one of the best days of my life,the other being my graduation day last year of course!I enjoyed it immensely from beginning till when it ended at night.Looking back at the pictures now still puts a big sappy smile on my face.
    We woke up nice and early on that 1st of December,had brunch and reached Lincoln's nice and early to have all our shots taken!

    adrenaline all pumping by then so every time we saw a picture opportunity,we grabbed it!

    We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

    out of all the hundreds of pictures of the day, this is my absolute favourite one!







    this was taken right after we had our professional photograph taken in the Old Court room,hence having the wig on!

    as soon as I heard those words,i just wanted to give the Elizabeth QC the biggest hug ever,jump around in my heels and if i could,i would have done cartwheels in front of the entire audience and Masters of the Bench.gown,heels and all!

    after that we had a cocktail reception before dining.here i am with emmy,aric and all my other friends who came to witness us getting called!aww how sweet,thanks guys!

    with Lincoln's Inn Treasurer, Elizabeth Appleby QC.she was leaving for Malaysia the next day and we had a nice little chat about home.i remember emphasizing that its really hot here lol

    after our dining,we decided that the celebration could not end there and proceeded for even more drinks at the nearby pub.

  • im still alive!


    Hi everyone!
    Its been awhile but anyway,here I am!

    We returned home safely from the uk on sunday night. Had a really good time in London as well as Scotland.And now ive started work!Its my first week and so far things are going pretty alright.I am trying to be very enthusiastic about work so help me God!

    One of the happiest  & also emotional moments of my life!Thank you God,loving family & all my ever supportive friends.I would never have made it through without all your love and support.

  • Singapore!


    Its a rather boring sunday afternoon for me and so,some pictures from my 2 day shopping trip to Singapore  last week



    mum and i took the 10.15am flight over to sg



    stayed at the ever gorgeous capella on sentosa island.its a such a beautiful colonial style resort.
    and if im not mistaken, the other capellas  are in austria,mexico,germany,colorado and another one to be built in niseko,japan.would love to visit the one in japan,im sure it would be even more beautiful than the one in sentosa.

    one half of the really massive  toilet.no picture of our shower area but it was really nice!



    our room came with a well stocked refreshment center,lcd,bose stereo system,ipod docking station and lots of other hightech things that we didnt have time to enjoy.and the best part was that we had our very own nespresso machine!ive always wanted to try a cup of nespresso and if you havent yet heard of it,well its this really cute coffee machine where you  insert cute looking capsules and with a  touch of a button,mmm delicious i only remember nespresso because of its ads that i used to see on tv in London with the really good looking George Clooney in them.Mmm,almost as good as that cup of nespresso HAHA!



    ahhh
    during the day we went for lunches and shopping but at night,i stayed in and enjoyed the room immensely.there was also an impressive collection of dvds and i rewatched Shakespeare in Love.Forgot how much i loved it.'Like a sickness and its cure together'.It won like 7 oscars or something back then. What a  beautiful story!

    In short, the trip consisted of  lots of quality time with mum,shopping and  good food!Thanks mummy :)
    Anyway, its no surprise then that im currently having this minor panic attack that i'll look really fat in my callday pictures!I have exactly one week to cut down on my food and also exercise,in hopes of looking not so bloated then.    Wish me luck!xx

  • emmy's 23rd @ Carat Club,Pavillion


    Hello!Sorry for the lack of updates this week,just got back from Singapore.What a hectic week.
    But first,pictures from Emmy's bday bash.They are just lovely.Thank you emmy,jyymei and choon keet!

    Emmy had her birthday dinner at Carat Club in Pavillion last week so we all made our way down there on that Thursday evening,amidst the rain and the horrible traffic jam!Xian and I had a corporate talk to attend at the firm prior to that but thank goodness we made it to dinner on time.

  • my fortune cookie


    Gosh has a week past by already!Nooo my  free days are coming to an end,and rather fast too.
    Nothing out of the ordinary this week except for emmy's fab bday bash yest night ( more on this in the next update!) My week consisted of just more meetups,reading, shopping and  a few corporate talks at the firm.

     The firm's Annual Dinner & Dance was last week and though I didnt attend it,I thought the invite was really pretty!



    The theme for the ADND 2009 was The Orient Express: Destination- Shanghai and the invite came in this little oriental box with a formal invite,a 'ticket' to shanghai and a fortune cookie!I thought it was just so creative and pretty.Kudos to the organising committee!

  • a whirlwind of sorts



    And its the weekend!
    Well everyday is like a weekend to me so its been nice.

    The past week has been fun. Its a complete luxury to have all the time at hand to do all the things you want to do.
    Lots of meet ups here and there,shopping,reading and relaxing at home.

    On friday  I met up with  a bunch of friends from SAM.Aside from priscilla dearest,i havent met the rest in ages so it was a very nice catchup session.

    At night I watched another musical with my family and this time,at Istana Budaya.We watched Cuci and let me just say, it was SO HILARIOUS!The crowd went insane with laughter and i laughed so much till my tummy hurt.The musical lasted about 3 hours and all I did was laugh laugh and laugh. It was that funny,trust me!Everyone had a really good time.Lotsa really funny lines and jokes and man can everyone really sing.It was quite a coincidence too that one of the backup cast is actually a girl we know from church and I was so surprised to see her dance and hear her sing!That voice of hers,seriously,amazing.

    and there was harith iskandar,adibah noor and vanida imran too!
    all superb singers my goodness!!
